PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To equalize the transmitted light amount on a screen as a whole. SOLUTION: Members for gaps 7G-1 to 7G-3 are used in a portion between pixels of a display panel 3G, in a green-shielding layer of a color display element 1. Members for gaps 9B-1 to 9B-3 are used in a portion between pixels of a display panel 5B, in a blue blocking layer of the color display element 1. The members for gaps 7G-1 to 7G-3 and the members for gaps 9B-1 to 9B-3 are formed, in such a manner as to transmit the light having a component with a wavelength other than a predetermined wavelength band of the light made incident on the portions between pixels.
