PURPOSE: An ice maker is provide to enable transparent ice to be made and at the same time to cool water to supply the cold water to a user. CONSTITUTION: An ice maker comprises an ice tray(100) and a water storage tray(200). Ice is made in the ice tray. The water storage tray is arranged so that a part of the ice tray is sunken and the water storage tray holds water. An ice-making speed is controlled by the water held in the water storage tray. The water storage tray comprises a water tank(10), a supply pipe(10a), and a water return pipe(10b). The supply pipe is arranged between the water tank and the water storage tray and water is supplied from the water tank to the water storage tray through the supply pipe. Water is returned from the water storage tray to the water tank through the water return pipe.
