PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of producing copper alloy which efficiently performs degassing heat treatment with high energy efficiency at a relatively low temperature and is free from a risk of causing intercrystalline crack on post processes. SOLUTION: The method of producing copper alloy includes: forming a copper alloy material which contains at least one element of Ni, Si, Fe, Co, Ti, Be, P, Mg, Sn, Zn, Al, Mn, Cr, Zr and Ag in an amount of 0.01 to 5 mass%, and the balance Cu with inevitable impurities; performing the degassing heat treatment by retaining the copper alloy material at a temperature of 300 to 700°C for 1 to 3 hr; and subjecting the copper alloy material after the degassing heat treatment to hot rolling, cold rolling and heat treatment to obtain copper alloy.
