PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a specific method since a device to measure a delay amount between satellites or a system to estimate a transmission line with a plurality of satellites is required for the purpose of implementing transmission diversity in satellite communication. SOLUTION: The satellite communication system performs diversity type communication via a plurality of communication satellites 103, 104. The satellite communication system includes base stations 101, 102 and mobile stations 201, 202 capable of communicating via the plurality of communication satellites 103, 104. The mobile stations 201, 202 transmit a control signal including a CRC code to the base stations 101, 102 via the plurality of communication satellites 103, 104 and the base stations 101, 102 acquire a delay amount in each of transmission lines through the plurality of communication satellites 103, 104 to the mobile stations 201, 202 based on a reception time of the control signal and the received CRC code via the plurality of communication satellites 103, 104 and transmit a communication signal corresponding to the delay amount in each transmission line.
