PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical device and an optical system having the same reducing change in environmental resistance, in particular its performance in high-temperature high-humidity conditions, and achieving excellent optical properties and chromatic aberration correction effect. SOLUTION: In the optical device 11 wherein three or more optical elements L1, L2 and NL1 are connected to be integrated together, as to the three or more optical elements, one of the optical elements brought into contact with other optical elements via two optical surfaces is formed of an organic compound layer. When, in a cross section including an optical axis 1 of the optical device, a maximum diameter of joint surfaces containing nothing except an adhesive among joint surfaces connecting the optical elements constituting the optical device together is represented byϕs, lengths along the optical axis of the organic compound layer at the maximum diameterϕs are represented by Ti (i=1, 2, 3, ..., n) (mm), and elongations by water absorbing of materials of the organic compound layer are represented by DLi (i=1, 2, 3, ..., n)(%); a conditionΣ(Ti×DLi)<0.19 (mm) is satisfied.
