PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antagonist or a partial agonist of wild-type human interleukin-4 associated with excessively, falsely regulated immune reactions and autoimmune diseases, or a therapeutic agent containing them. SOLUTION: The composition for therapy includes a mutant human interleukin-4 protein accompanying at least two modifications such as substitution of one or more amino acids present at the 121-, 124- or 125-positions in the wild-type human interleukin-4 with other natural amino acids, and the coupling of the protein to a non-protein polymer.
