A pneumatic tire is provided with a decorative section on a side of the tire. The decorative section is provided with a decorative element which has ridges, and also with troughs which are tilted in the circumferential direction of the tire and divide the decorative element into two or more regions to make the ridges non-continuous in the circumferential direction of the tire. The ridges comprise first ridges and second ridges, and either the height and/or the width of the second ridges is less than that of the first ridges. At least some of the first ridges are tilted in the circumferential direction of the tire and are adjacent to each other. As a result of the configuration, troughs are formed between adjacent first ridges. |
