<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology of an optical connector for preventing displacement of the optical axis. <P>SOLUTION: This optical connector includes a housing locked with a connector on the other side, a substrate on which an optical element for performing optical transmission with the connector on the other side is mounted and that is fixed to the housing, a cap for gripping the substrate together with the housing, and a fixing means for pressing and fixing the cap to the housing side.
