The circuit has a reformer (1) for reaction of gaseous hydrocarbon e.g. propane, with air, where a product gas generated in the reformer is supplied to a conditioning device (8) for conditioning the gas in an anode (2) of a fuel cell e.g. high-temperature, polymer electrolyte membrane fuel cell. An exhaust gas burner (3) heats a fuel cell system, where heat produced in the burner is supplied to the reformer. An additional air is supplied to the reformer over a cathode (4) during achieving of a starting temperature in the reformer, such that an actual reforming reaction is started. An independent claim is also included for a method for operating a fuel cell system. |
