CYLINDRICAL SECONDARY BATTERY

PURPOSE: A cylindrical secondary battery is provided to prevent electrical short of an electrode tab and electrode plate and/or can when the electrode tap is formed in an abnormally curved shape. CONSTITUTION: A cylindrical secondary battery includes: a battery unit(101) in which a first electrode plate, a separator, and a second electrode plate are wound and first and second electrode tabs are drawn from the first and second electrode plates; a can in which the battery unit is housed; a cap assembly(108) sealing the opening of the can; and an first insulating plate(120) which is installed at the upper end of the battery unit to prevent the short of the first and second electrode plates. A linear small-size hole and an annular small-size hole are formed on the first insulating plate, wherein the first electrode tab penetrates the linear small-size hole and electrolyte is injected into the annular small-size hole.
