<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten the length of a drive device along the direction of the axis of rotation of a rotor, and also prevent vibration in the direction of the axis of rotation of a rotor. <P>SOLUTION: The drive device 1 includes stators 2 and 4, a drive member 20 provided rotatably, a piezoelectric element 6 which is held between the stator 2 and the drive member 20 in a tangential direction of the circular rotational trajectory of the drive member 20 to elongate/contract in the tangential direction and has an elongation rate different from the contraction rate, and a rotor 14 which is provided concentrically to the drive member 20 and comes into pressure contact with the drive member 20. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
