The present invention relates to an image-processing apparatus and to an image-processing method for generating a wide angle image. According to the present invention, a wide angle image, which covers a wide-range field of view, can be obtained at a relatively low cost. According to the present invention, a process of correcting distortions of images caused by a lens, a process of projecting, onto a plane, an image of a subject contained in images, and an image conversion process of combining a plurality of images received from a plurality of cameras so as to obtain a single wide angle image, can all be performed at once through a single image processing using a single look-up table, thereby enabling the quicker output of images. |
