Described is an intraoral illumination system formed by a control box including circuits and elements for converting AC into DC; elements for switching the AC supply to DC supply provided by a battery; a supply cable including a connector for connecting a working wire, where this latter element is formed by a flat cable having a connector suitable for cooperating with the connector of the supply cable located in one of the end portions thereof, and a LED at the remaining end portion, encapsulated in the respective end portion of the working wire in a predetermined direction, selected from 45° and 90°; and a plurality of fasteners for fastening the working wire to a hand piece or any other medical or dental instrument.
