The hydrotalcite would present a globular morphology in case the synthesis process uses NH4OH as template and coprecipitater. Crystallizations carried out by aging or ultrasound allow globular or laminar morphologies to be obtained. In the ultrasound case, the obtained hydrotalcite is characterised in that it is a mixture of flakes and spheres, in which the globular particles are housed in the interstices created by the flakes. In the aging case, the obtained particles are mostly globular. The globular hydrotalcite may be remarkably used as catalysts, adsorbent elements and ionic exchangers. Particularly, in medicine the use of said composites would be as a drug vehicle and dispenser.
