PURPOSE: A cosmetic composition containing phytantriol and hexamidine diisethionate for treating acne is provided to enhance antibacterial activity. CONSTITUTION: A cosmetic composition for treating acne contains 0.01-10.0 weight% of phytantriol and 0.0001-5.0 weight% of hexamidine diisethionate as an active ingredient. The weight ratio of phytantriol and hexamidine diisethionate is 2:8. The cosmetic composition is manufactured in the form of skin softener, astringent, eye cream, nutrition cream, massage cream, cleansing cream, cleansing foam, cleansing water, solid soap, liquid soap, powder, essence, or pack.
