<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically perform image processing according to the position and posture of a person in an image. <P>SOLUTION: A memory 14 includes a database that stores specific posture data representing a specific posture of a person, and effect data for specifying an effect to be applied to an image in association with each other. A person region detection engine 24 detects a person region that shows a region including a person in an image to be processed, and a person posture recognition engine 25 recognizes the posture of the person in the person region. A matching engine 26 refers to the database stored in the memory 14 to obtain specific posture data matching the posture recognized by the person region detection engine 24, and an image processing engine 27 performs processing on the image based on the effect data associated with the specific posture data obtained by the matching engine 26.
