<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an airbag device for a front passenger seat capable of reducing weight in a retainer. <P>SOLUTION: This airbag device 12 for the front passenger seat includes an airbag 14, the retainer 16 for storing the folded-up airbag 14, an arm member 18 for fixing the retainer 16 to an instrument panel 10, an inflator 20 for supplying gas to the airbag 14, and a support member 22 arranged so as to cover the side of the folded-up airbag 14. The retainer 16 includes a body part 26 having a bottom surface 26a and a sidewall surface 26b and a hook 28 for engaging the retainer 16 with the support member 22 by penetrating through a hook hole 24 arranged in the support member 22, and the body part 26 and the hook 28 are integrally constituted in the substantially same thickness by extrusion molding, and the hook 28 includes a strength reinforcing first rib 28a. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
