<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide newsprint using mechanical pulp produced from Cryptomeria wood, which has been difficult to use as pulp as a raw material and has high opacity and strength. <P>SOLUTION: The newsprint prepared by adding fillers to pulp of raw material is characterized by using mechanical pulp produced from Cryptomeria wood chips and Pinus wood chips in an absolute dry weight ratio of Cryptomeria wood chips: Pinus wood chips of 5:95 to 50:50 as pulp of raw materials, and containing white carbon having a volume-average particle diameter of 15 to 25μm and inorganic particles having a volume-average particle diameter of 1.7 to 12.5μm as fillers. The inorganic particles may be silica-compounded reclaimed particles prepared by compounding silica on the surfaces of reclaimed particles obtained through dehydration, drying, combustion and crushing processes for paper-making sludges as a main raw material. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
