<p>The invention discloses a method for identifying Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) traffic based on Media Gateway Control Protocol (MGCP). The method includes the following steps: according to identification rules of MGCP, the message related to a control connection is identified by matching key words; media connection negotiation information for establishing a media connection is extracted from the message related to the control connection; according to the transaction identifier (ID) in the media connection negotiation information, the media connection negotiation information is matched; and according to the matching result, the VoIP traffic based on MGCP is identified. The invention also discloses an apparatus for identifying VoIP traffic based on MGCP. With this invention, in the case of that the media gateway control protocol is adopted, multiple media connection negotiations are performed on one control connection simultaneously, thereby the VoIP traffic based on media gateway control protocol can be identified, and there is no specific requirements for the deployment location of the deep message detection device.</p> |
