A method for predicting the pathology of pregnancy in multiple gestation comprises the ultrasonic examination at the term of 10-13 weeks allowing for identification of the number of the gestational sacs, detection of embryos and corresponding extraembryonic structures, identification of the number of chorions and their positions, the presence of interamniotic membrane, its thickness and position, the viability of embryos, the match between biometrical parameters and the gestation term. The presence of several viable embryos with interamniotic membrane less than in thickness and T-shaped structure is indicative of monochorical multiple gestation with the risk of pathology. |
