<p>The method involves inputting disks (12) as cleaning coins (10) into a coin testing device, a coin counting device and a sorting device, where the disks are provided with a filamentary layer (14) for accommodating cleaning fluid on a side of the disks. The disks are directed to sensors (20) by a conveyor device and/or mechanically guided into mechanical guides, where the filamentary layer consists of fleece, microfibers, flock fibers or a filamentary roughened surface.
