PURPOSE: A steering locking device of an electric power steering system is provided to encourage cost saving and weight decrease through the simplification of parts using MDPS to have a constitution cooperating with a worm shaft. CONSTITUTION: A steering locking device of an electric power steering system comprises a solenoid housing(11), a shaft protrusion(12), a solenoid plunger(14) and a solenoid spring(15). The solenoid housing comprises a guide groove(11a), which is extended in the longitudinal direction of a worm shaft(4). The solenoid housing is integrally coupled to a housing protecting the worm shaft. The shaft protrusion is protruded from one end of the worm shaft toward the guide groove. The solenoid plunger is installed in the solenoid housing to be able to linearly move along the guide groove and a coil(13), on which current flows when a vehicle starts, is wound on the outer circumferential surface of the solenoid plunger.
