PURPOSE: An oriental medicinal composition is provided to treat myopia, astigmatism, hyperopia, and eye fatigue by containing seven kinds of medicinal herbs. CONSTITUTION: An oriental medicinal composition for relieving eye fatigue and improving visual acuity contains 6-8 weight parts of Rehmanniae Radix Vaporata, 6-8 weight parts of Asparagi Radix, 3-4 weight parts of Chrysanthemum indicun, 1.5-2 weight parts of pine needle, 0.7-1 weight parts of Lycium chinense Mill, and 0.7-1 weight part of Ostreae testa. The oriental medicinal composition contains the hot water extract of the herbs as an active ingredient. The hot water extract is obtained by heating the medicinal herbs at 100-250°C for 2-3 hours.
