PURPOSE: A steer-by-wire system is provided to remarkably reduce external disturbance on a connecting link and integrated upper/lower couplings if external disturbance is inversely input through left and right vehicle-wheels. CONSTITUTION: A steer-by-wire system comprises an upper rack motor(15), a lower rack motor(16), connecting links(19,20) and an electromagnetic clutch(30). The upper and lower rack motors are arranged on the middle part of left and right vehicle-wheels in a row. The connecting links are arranged on the left and right of a vehicle body to be able to connect a ball screw, which receives power from the lower/upper rack motors and makes linear movement, and the tie rods of the left and right vehicle-wheels. The electromagnetic clutch is installed to be able to receive power of the upper/lower rack motors between them. The electromagnetic clutch receives currents by the control of the steer-by-wire controller. The electromagnet clutch couples the upper/lower rack motors. Coil is installed in the electromagnetic clutch.
