EDGE UNITS FOR FIBER REINFORCED PLASTICS DECK, AND FIBER REINFORCED PLASTICS DECK HAVING SUCH EDGE UNITS

PURPOSE: An edge unit for a FRP deck having a side reinforcement structure and a FRP(Fiber Reinforced Plastics) deck including the edge unit are provided to ensure high strength of edges where the end of the outermost web and the ends of the top and bottom plates meet together by embedding bent reinforcements in the edges. CONSTITUTION: An FRP deck comprises an intermediate FRP deck unit(2), a first edge unit(10a), and a second edge unit(10b). The intermediate FRP deck unit comprises outer web plates(24a,24b), one of which is formed with coupling plates(26) extended from upper and lower plates(21,22) and the other of which is formed with stepped parts(27) to be coupled with the upper and lower plates. The first edge unit comprises an outermost web plate(101a) and an outer web plate(101b). Bent reinforcements(4) are embedded in the upper and lower plates and the outermost web plate of the first edge unit at the edge where the upper and lower plates and the outermost web plate meet together. The second edge unit comprises an insertion web plate(110a) and an outermost web plate(110b). Bent reinforcements are embedded in the upper and lower plates and the outermost web plate of the second edge unit at the edge where the upper and lower plates and the outermost web plate meet together.
