METHOD FOR HIGH PURITY MIXED XYLENE BY SELECTIVE SEPARATION ETHYLBENZENE FROM MIXED XYLENE WITH EXTRACTING DISTILLATION

PURPOSE: A method for preparing mixed xylene is provided to additionally obtain ethyl benzene with the high purity by effectively separating the ethyl benzene and zylene isomer. CONSTITUTION: An extraction agent is added in mixed zylene containing ethyl benzene. A distillation process is implemented in order to selectively separate the ethyl benzene from the mixed zylene. The extraction agent is 1,1,2,2-tetrachloride ethane, or the mixture of 1,1,2,2-tetrachloride ethane and ethyl acetate. The temperature of the distillation process is maintained between 175 and 185 degrees Celsius.
