PURPOSE: A thin film for coating the surface of a shaping device and a surface processing method are provided to enable a product to be shaped in a desired shape since a freedom of shape increases when a product using a high-strength/high-tension steel sheet, such as a vehicle body is shaped. CONSTITUTION: A method of processing the surface of a shaping device comprises next steps. CrN is sputtered at a mixed gas atmosphere of N, O, and Ar and is excited onto a deposition substrate. Mo is sputtered at the mixed gas atmosphere and MoN, MoOx, and Mo are excited onto the deposition substrate. A thin film of mixed composition, which is represented as CrMoOxN1-x, is formed on the deposition substrate.
