Aggregate for producing construction materials

Aggregate comprises at least one fiber-containing recycled fraction, which comprises a weight ratio of hydrophobic textile fibers to hydrophilic textile fibers of 1:4-4:1 (preferably 1:3-2:1). Independent claims are included for: (1) a plastic-bound molded part comprising a plastic matrix and the above aggregate embedded within the matrix; and (2) the preparation of the aggregate comprising crushing a starting material comprising the fiber-containing recycled fraction and mixing with a finely divided auxiliary material to obtain a substantially free-flowing aggregate, where a shredder fraction is used as the starting material, whose composition comprises a ratio of hydrophobic textile fibers to hydrophilic textile fibers of 1:4-4:1 (preferably 1:3-2:1).
