METHOD FOR CONTROLLING OF HYBRID ELECTRIC VEHICLE

PURPOSE: A method for controlling hybrid electric vehicles is provided to improve fuel efficiency through an E shiftgear map without additional installation of separate sensor and apparatus. CONSTITUTION: A method for controlling hybrid electric vehicles comprises the steps of: determining whether an economical operation mode is selected in a start-on-state of an engine; determining an operation mode according to an APS(Automatic Program control System) signal if the economical operation mode is selected; controlling the driving of a motor through the determination of a regenerated braking torque by adapting a deceleration torque map set for the economical operation mode if the operation mode is a braking mode; controlling a acceleration target gear ratio through the determination of a motor torque and an engine output torque by adapting a motor torque map, engine output map, and gear ratio map set to the economical operation mode if an operation mode is an acceleration condition; and controlling engine output by adopting a constant speed map set to the economical operation mode if the operation mode is a constant speed condition.
