<p>Requested driving force parameters indicating the requested driving force of an engine are set based on the control input of an accelerator pedal, the target value of an engine driving force controlled variable is set based on the requested driving force parameters, and then an engine driving force controlled variable is controlled to match the target value. A target number of revolutions of the engine is set based on the requested driving force parameters and a continuously variable transmission is controlled so that the number of revolutions of the engine becomes the target number of revolutions. A first operation mode, or a second operation mode having a low fuel consumption rate as compared with the first operation mode can be selected. When the second operation mode is selected, the requested driving force parameters corresponding to the control input of the accelerator pedal are set to values smaller than those in the first operation mode, and a target value is calculated based on first predetermined characteristics which are preset according to the number of revolutions of the engine and the requested driving force parameters. The first predetermined characteristics are set so that a target value for the same number of revolutions of the engine becomes constant in a first predetermined range of the requested driving force parameters.</p> |
