PURPOSE: An apparatus for detecting the degraded component using an ultrasonic wave detector is provided to easily monitor the failure of an overhead line. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for detecting the degraded component using an ultrasonic wave detector includes a housing(52), an ultrasonic sensor(54), and a supersonic wave detector(50). The housing has a trumpet-shaped of which a cross section is smaller in lower part. The supersonic wave detector guides the received ultrasonic waves to an ultrasonic detection area which is formed to the inner circumference of the housing. |
