PURPOSE: A mobile terminal and a method for controlling the same are provided to supply a new visual effect by using a 3D object arranged in a virtual 3D space. CONSTITUTION: A mobile terminal comprises: a user input unit(120) for receiving a command from a user, and a display unit(151) includes a parallax generation unit for changing the progressing direction of light and the vibration direction which are generated from the display device. The control unit generates a first stereoscopic display image which can be displayed according to the command input of a user through a user input unit.
