<p>A vibration energy harvester includes a device 2 for generating electrical energy from mechanical vibration, such as a magnet-coil generator or piezoelectric generator, and a current control circuit 8 electrically connected to the device 2 for providing a constant output current at an electrical output 10, 12 of the vibration energy harvester. During installation of the vibration energy harvester, the output current may therefore be measured independently of the load impedance so that it can be mounted for maximum output. The load is typically a capacitor which is charged by the output and has a variable impedance. The current control circuit 8 may also control the input voltage 4, 6 from the device to be constant.</p> |
