Honeycomb structure

Disclosed is a honeycomb structure having a honeycomb unit which contains inorganic particles and in which plural cells extending from a first end face to a second end face along a longitudinal direction are partitioned by cell walls. The honeycomb unit further contains at least one of a flake-like substance, a tetrapod-like substance, and a three-dimensional needle-like substance.
