PURPOSE: A liquid crystal display device and manufacturing method thereof are provided to simplify a manufacturing process and to easily implement various colors by equipping four color filter layers. CONSTITUTION: A liquid crystal display is formed between a first substrate(100) and a second substrate(200). An optical shield layer(120) is formed into a desired pattern in order to define a first color unit(125a), a second color unit(125b), a third color unit(125c), and a fourth color unit(125d) on the first substrate. An overcoat layer(140) is formed in the first substrate front side including a first color filter layer, a second color filter layer, and a third color filter layer. A fourth color filter layer is formed on the fourth color unit. |
