PURPOSE: A composition using Albizzia julibrissin extract is provided to suppress GPT, GOT, and gamma-GTP and to improve liver function. CONSTITUTION: A composition for improving liver function contains Albizzia julibrissin extract as an active ingredient. The Albizzia julibrissin extract is isolated from leaves, stems, petals, roots, barks, fruits, or mixture thereof using ethanol, methanol, acetone, ethyl acetate, saturated normal butanol, chloroform, methylene chloride, water, or mixture solvent thereof. The composition further contains one or more of Codonopsis pilosulae Radix powder or extract, Schizandra chinensis fruit powder or extract, Artemisiae capillaris Herba powder or extract, or Cordyceps sinensis powder or extract. |
