PURPOSE: A cooking appliance is provided to cook food without loss of heat generated from a heating source since food or a food container is accurately positioned. CONSTITUTION: A cooking appliance comprises multiple heating sources(210), a case(200), and an upper plate(100). The heating sources emit heat for heating food. The case provides a space for the heating source. The upper plate shields the upper side of the case. A heating space and a non-heating space are spatially partitioned in the upper plate. The heating space and the non-heating space have different distance to the heating source. The heating space is tapered toward the heating source.
