PURPOSE: An electronic prescription system and a method thereof are provided to prepare a medicine by reading the electronic prescription. CONSTITUTION: A home healthcare device(10) ciphers an electronic prescription using an authentication key. A hospital server(20) performs an authentication using an electronic prescription serial number. The hospital server transmits the authentication key corresponding to the electronic prescription serial number to a pharmacy server(30). The pharmacy server deciphers the ciphered electronic prescription. The pharmacy server prepares a medicine according to the deciphered prescription.
