PURPOSE: A mobile terminal and a method of controlling the same are provided to control a color attribute of an object displayed on a mobile terminal according to the attribute of a light source. CONSTITUTION: A display module(151) displays an object and the shadow of the object, and at least one obtaining unit obtains the strength of a light source received from an external light source. A control unit(180) obtains the directional information of the light source for the object. The control unit controls the color attribute of the object and/or the shadow attribute of the object according the strength of the light source and/or the direction of the light source.
