SOLVENTLESS COLLOIDAL SILICA SOL AND FABRICATION METHOD THEREOF

PURPOSE: Solventless colloidal silica sol and a method for preparing the same are provided to increase the purity of the silica sol and implement a surface treatment process with respect to the silica sol using an organic functional group. CONSTITUTION: Alkoxysilane is obtained through a refining process. One solvent including water is added to the alkoxysilane. A stirring process is implemented to form silica sol. A functional alkoxysilane containing an organic functional group is added to the silica sol in order to modify the surface of the silica sol. A solvent included in the silica sol is replaced with other organic solvent which is different from the initial solvent.
