PURPOSE: A method for preparing tungsten carbide is provided to reduce time for maintaining thermal treatment temperature using a tungsten oxide as a starting material. CONSTITUTION: A method for preparing tungsten carbide includes the following: Tungsten oxide and carbon are undergone a ball-milling process in order to obtain uniform mixed powder in a powder mixing process(S100). The mixed powder is introduced into a mold, and a current is conducted to the mixed powder in order to a lump with a tungsten-based carbide phase in a current conducting process(S200). The lump is pulverized to obtain tungsten-based carbide powder in a pulverizing process(S300). |
