PURPOSE: A secondary battery and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to commonly use a secondary battery standardized in the same size for high power or high-capacity according to a using condition of a secondary battery. CONSTITUTION: A secondary battery comprises: a can(2) housing an electrode assembly and electrolyte; a cap assembly(1) installed in the upper part of the can; a first metal thin sheet attached to one of the upper side of the cap assembly or lower side of the can; a circuit protection device attached to the first metal thin sheet; and a second metal thin sheet arranged on the circuit protection device. The second metal thin sheet extends over the end of the circuit protection device. |
