The present invention describes a system for purifying water, which comprises a tank for storing non-potable process water; a hydropneumatic in fluid communication with the tank by means of a suction line for supplying the process water to the hydropneumatic; and an arrangement for generating and dosing the silver ions, which receives the process water at pressure in order to generate, concentrate and dosage the silver ions to the supplying network of potable water.
