The invention relates to manufacturing of metal casting products, and it can be used for manufacturing ship propeller blades from copper alloys. The method offered contains the following steps: a casting mould 1 is assembled, which has a casting imprint (cavity) 2 shaped for casting a ship propeller blade; a metal feeder 3 is manufactured and connected with the casting imprint 2 of the casting mould 1; a taper sprue 4 is manufactured, which is shaped as a metal pouring box; the casting mould 1, as assembled, is placed at an angle 5 to a foundation, raising one end of the mould with an elevating mechanism 6; the metal is being poured through the metal feeder 3 into the casting imprint 2 of the casting mould 1, controlling the flow-rate of the metal by means of the taper sprue 4; the metal is being poured until metal 7 has filled the base 8 of the ship propeller blade; thereafter pouring the metal into the casting imprint 2 of the casting mould 1 through the metal feeder 3 is continued, while the casting mould 1 being uninterruptedly and smoothly laid on its base; casting the metal is continued until the metal 7 has completely filled the cavity 2 of the casting mould 1. |
