A sender and a recipient have terminals, which are also connected to Internet. To select sending electronic mail with certain premium services, the sender uses the recipient's software. The system and method include functions of premium services payment and accounting of usage. The system and method may operate on multiple servers, which are in one or different places. The mail server and software may be used only to process data about the message and/or to send it. Connections between the sender, the recipient and the mail server may create a likeness of a virtual Intranet.
