FIELD: chemistry. ^ SUBSTANCE: described is a fumigant composition which contains a lower alkylformate and an isothiocyanic ester selected from a group comprising methyl, ethyl, propyl, isopropyl, butyl, fluorobutyl, isobutyl, tert-butyl, allyl, methylallyl, benzyl or phenyl isothiocyanic esters, in which there is approximately 60-99.5 pts (wt/wt) lower alkylformate and approximately 40-0.5 pts (wt/wt) isothiocyanic ester. The invention also describes a method of delivering the isothiocyanic ester to the consumption object, structure or space, involving depositing the mixture of the isothiocyanic ester in the lower alkylformate, mentioned above, into the said product or structure; a method of increasing effectiveness of the isothiocyanic ester as a fumigant; a method of increasing effectiveness of the lower alkylformate as a fumigant and a fumigation method, involving a step for applying an effective amount of the said lower alkylformate and isothiocyanic ester in gaseous state or solution to the consumption object and/or structure and/or space. ^ EFFECT: obtaining a fumigant composition containing lower alkylformate and isothiocyanic ester. ^ 24 cl, 6 tbl, 6 ex, 10 dwg |
