The system has beads (4) driven by a sprocket-wheel (2) below which castor wheels (3) are arranged. The castor wheels are fixed parallel at a level of a floor for plating the beads on the floor. The beads are passed around or from the wheels. A tensioning unit (6) maintains sufficient tension at the beads. An articulated arm (5) is fixed at the frame. An end of the arm comprises a receiving device provided for receiving tools (100) for coring or a multi-tool for underground work in an interchangeable manner and hydraulically supplied with power by a rapid connector with quick action coupling. An independent claim is also included for a method for cutting a surface constituting a coated face using a multi-tool system for underground work.
