The method involves generating depression in a primary space (5) with respect to an interior of a tank (1) by using a vacuum pump (10) connected to the primary space. A liquid film (11) is applied on a front face of a primary membrane (2) by using a liquid container (8), where the container is equipped with a diffuser (9) to spray the liquid contained in the container. Cold points of the membrane are detected by using a thermal camera (7) and a pyrometer. The liquid film is formed by a liquid that is selected among ethanol, propanol and butanol and has an emissivity greater than 0.5. An independent claim is also included for a tank comprising a bearing structure.
