The method involves inserting a linear rigidification element (15) e.g. hollow tube, maintained vertically with lateral edges (6, 7) in a hollow inner volume. A linear locking element (16) e.g. hollow tube, maintained horizontally in the volume is inserted under the element (15) without being coupled to the element (15). The element (15) rests on the element (16) when a vertical compression force is applied to a body (1) of a backrest. The linear elements are formed of metal, composite material, rigid plastic material, glass fiber filled thermosetting resin or glass fiber filled polyester. An independent claim is also included for a body of a sear backrest for a vehicle e.g. car.
