Traffic information is provided to a vehicle-mounted device of a vehicle located in an area hidden behind a large vehicle and a vehicle-mounted device of a vehicle located at a place distant from an intersection (193). A UHF beacon device (112) is provided at the intersection (193) and traffic information is delivered by UHF beacon signals having a diffraction property. Thereby, the traffic information can be received by the vehicle-mounted device of the vehicle located in an area hidden behind a large vehicle. Further, because the UHF beacon signal can be transmitted to a distant place, the traffic information can be received by the vehicle-mounted device of the vehicle located at a place distant from the intersection (193). Furthermore, the UHF beacon device (112) transmits the UHF beacon signals in time-shared way when different traffic information for a plurality of concentrically arranged zones is set in the UHF beacon signals. At this time, the UHF beacon device (112) transmits UHF beacon signals wherein different traffic information is set, in different transmission outputs. |
